What is the Generals Cash
Card?
The Generals Cash Card is the official identification card of
Herkimer County Community
College. Issued to all students, faculty, and staff, the Generals Cash
Card is required for identification and access to essential campus services.
It also offers a convenient account -
Herkimer Cash Card Account - for making cashless purchases
on and around campus. All students, faculty, and staff are currently eligible to
receive a Generals Cash Card.

How do I get
my Generals Cash Card?
Returning students
should already have a card.
All new students will receive a Generals Cash Card upon arriving to campus. There
is no charge for your initial Generals Cash Card.

What if I
lose my Generals Cash Card?
If you lose your Generals Cash Card immediately visit the
Herkimer Cash Card Account
Management Center
or call 1.888.913.HCCC (4222) to disable your Herkimer Cash Card Account.
Then, contact the ID Card Office located in the
Library
Building
outside the bookstore to deactivate all other services and obtain a new
card. A $10 fee will be charged for a replacement card.

How does
the Herkimer Cash Card Account work?
The Herkimer Cash Card
Account is a prepaid spending account on your Generals Cash Card offering a
safe and convenient way to make purchases on and around campus. Unused balances
roll over semester-to-semester and year-to-year. You must
add value or
authorize your financial aid to your Herkimer Cash Card Account before using it to make purchases. You must have sufficient value
available in your Herkimer Cash Card Account to pay for each transaction.
Each time you use your Herkimer Cash Card Account, the amount of the
transaction will be deducted from your account. You may not spend more value
than you have.

Your 16-digit Herkimer Cash Card Account number is located on the front of
your Generals Cash Card.

What's the difference between
Bookstore Voucher, Meal Plan and Herkimer Cash
Card Account?
The bookstore voucher and
meal plan for on campus students have been combined with the Herkimer Cash
Card Account. In addition to personal payments, students may now
authorize their financial aid for purchases made with the card.
Students must complete an authorization form available
here, or by visiting the the Bursar's Office or Campus Bookstore.
Note that students may not authorize more than $800 to start the semester.
More money can be added monthly as it is earned through class attendance.
Completed authorization forms can be submitted to the Bursar's Office in the
Classroom Administration Building.
The Herkimer Cash Card Account is a prepaid spending account offering a safe
and convenient way to make purchases
on and around campus. It is designed to eliminate the
need to carry cash around campus. You or your parents must
add value or authorize
your financial aid to your
Herkimer Cash Card Account before using it for purchases. Value in the
Herkimer Cash Card Account rolls over from semester to semester and from
year to year.

When is value added to the Herkimer Cash Card Account
available?
Credit and debit card payments are made available to your account
immediately. Deposits made with a check are available on the same business
day received.

How do I make a purchase with Herkimer Cash Card Account?
The Herkimer Cash Card Account works much like a debit or credit card. Just
present your Generals Cash Card for payment to the attendant at the
register. Your card will be swiped in a terminal and the transaction
authorized. You will need to sign a printed receipt of the approved
transaction.

What if I forget my user
name or password?
Go to
Herkimer
Cash Card Account Management Center.
Under the Login button, click [Forgot your username or password?] and follow
the instructions.

What is the Herkimer Cash Card Account refund process?
You may receive a refund of your Herkimer Cash Card Account balance when you
graduate, withdraw or leave your college. Proof of withdrawal or dismissal
is required. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
